Had a good amount of protein and pared back my dinner portion. Because I had good volume of protein and roasted veggies I only took a liiiittle bit of mashed potatoes. Totally satisfied. Enjoying a green tea with a touch of honey, love when dinner and done works out!

Hi, I'm Lindsay, from Chicago. I was motivated to join the group because I've been in a pretty good mindset lately and wanted to give myself some extra accountability to keep it up during the holidays. My non-scale goal is to get more sleep - I'm a single mom with almost full custody of 3 school age kids and a full time job, so I get so little time to myself that it's hard to make myself go to bed during that brief period of time when the kids are all asleep and I have a little bit of time to myself.

  • Tuesday is rest day for me so today was Joel’s liift 4 the holidays challenge week 2 chest/triceps 50/50. Scale is a little up in spite of good tracking the last couple of days so upping veggies and water today! 👍

I’ve been catching myself with mindless eating and saying out loud how I feel and it helps a lot.

“I don’t want this. It’s chopped up cold pizza that my kid didn’t finish. I’m not a garbage disposal.”

“ I didn’t put this on a plate and choose to have it, it’s an old half eaten muffin that has been sitting out all morning-so why eat it?”

“I didn’t plan to have hot chocolate in the evening so even though my family is running into the QT, I can say no thank you and stay on track”

“This plate of food is delicious but I’m feeling satisfied. I can put the rest in the fridge (or save for later)” I was NOT raised this way but it’s getting easier.
