Trying to build an exercise habit by doing weights and cardio videos off of YouTube. Today I got 15 minutes into a video and the my body just quit... Guess I'll try 17 minutes tomorrow?

Would love to hear how long it has taken others to build endurance.

Hey Rachel! 15 is better than 14 or 13 or nothing!! The fact you got to that point is what matters, pushing everyday is only gonna make you stronger! We are here to help push you to your goals!!! #GOALGETTER

Hey Rachel! What I’ve found that helps me the most is not stopping when I think I can’t do anymore, but modify the exercise. Sometimes I do one rep and walk in place until the next move. Sometimes I drop the weights and just do my body weight. Sometimes I completely take a break, drink some water for a few minutes and jump back in once I catch my breath. The point is, I listen to my body and do what I can!

When getting back into or starting a routine for the first time, make sure you find videos that aren’t as intense and would work for beginners. Then you gradually move up from there when you feel ready. I would say for me personally, I see a gradual increase in my endurance a week at a time.
