  • 1.4lb from the next "decade," and I have a super frozen neck today and we are all still recovering from the longest cold ever 😅 but I'm here! 150s are so close I can taste it...in this raw bell pepper I'm currently eating whole bc I am too sore to prep it. Haha

This is day 6 of tracking every bite. I'm still not a fan, but I like that I can compare my daily weigh-in to exactly what I ate the day before, along with calories, fat, protein, and carbs.

I find that counting macros and planning meals allows me to make better choices and be mindful about every bite I put in my body.

I also added back a daily dose of miralax in a small Gatorade zero because I have an issue with constipation, and my gastro doc said it was fine to take daily. I think that might have been a part of why my weight fluctuates so much.

Going by Ilana's advice of drinking 16 oz water before every meal has also helped with cravings and fills me up.

I am a little frustrated (but not discouraged) that the scale isn't down more from yesterday, even though I had fewer than 900 calories.

I am hyper focused on reaching my Xmas goals!

It is different for everyone but when i eat too little, the scale doesn’t drop. It’s like if my body says eat more or i will retain everything! Also if you are active you must fill you’re muscle and brain! I would try a little more calories a couples days to see what the scale is doing!!

Shannon L.

That was the lowest day. It's my busy season at work, so I've been working 7 days a week (at a desk), and unfortunately, I have not had time to workout. With all the water, I wasn't hungry. But I'll continue to track and listen to my body.

  • Yesterday, work completely kicked my a**. I didnt get off track. I just didn't get to eat or drink anything all day. Making sure I'm eating today. Breakfast is sweet potatoes, bacon, eggs, cheese.
Are there any nurses in here that may have any tricks? I pack easy quick stuff for work but man some days are just hard.

I’m not a nurse but I work 10-12 hr days as a restaurant manager, which would be nice be we don’t have the healthiest food options. I bring a lunch bag with easy snacks like mandarins, bananas, almonds, baby carrots, hard boiled eggs, and cottage cheese topped with berries. I found a new recipe for egg bites like the ones at Starbucks I can’t wait to try. That would be great for the drive to work, hand held foods are my go to.

Rachael C.

Rosanna the problem is that sometimes I don't get a lunch. Some shifts I don't even have time to go to the bathroom. If it's not life threatening I will just take a break whether I have time or not. But the shift I was posting about I had patients tanking one after the other :relieved:

Because of the coughing I wake up 2 hours earlier , it’s an opportunity to exercise but the SCALE is going up and down due to lack of sleep

Me to , I know it makes a good difference when I had enough sleep ! Waking up at 5:30 isn’t working for me !

I never realized how much sleep affects my weight until being introduced to Ilana. I hope you feel better soon!!

Going to the store today and meal prepping. Need some super easy ideas that aren't my same go to meals. Share your faves please to give me some inspiration. Super easy or make ahead for breakfast for sure as I'm usually rushed in the am.

For easy quick breakfasts: if you are looking for something sweet I would do a make ahead chia pudding with fruit (I love mango!), almond milk, oats or greek yogurt, and protein powder (optional). Another sweet option is overnight oats with fruit and optionally a flavored protein powder. There are an infinite number of ways to mix this up! For savory breakfasts, I love spinach, ham, cheese, and egg white bowls. Easy to microwave and with some added seasonings you won't mind the egg whites' blandness. My favorite grab and go savory breakfast is low carb breakfast wraps. Ham or bacon, eggs or egg whites, small amount cheese, and veggie of choice. Rolled up in a low carb wrap.

Thanks for the suggestions! I made some homemade just crack an eggs for me and my son. Also made an apple pie topping for yogurt. Those should last for a few days at least

Well I missed my bet by 2 lbs but I'm not stopping. I have discovered that my weight is directly related to the amount of sleep I get and the amount of stress. My work schedule is crazy right now so some of that is out of my control. Going to keep doing the things I CAN control. Congrats to everyone who won!

  • Went over on cheese but this will end up being about 3 meals for me. Chicken tetrazzini in a spaghetti squash bowl. Regular spaghetti for my son. So good!

I've decided Instead of going out for my birthday for food, I am going to make food at home when my family comes to visit me. I am planning on ordering cauliflower crust pizza and making a 2b pie dessert but thinking about what large delicious dish I can make from 2b that is good for a party? Anyone have any suggestions on which recipes would be great to triple or quadruple?

  • Well i didn't die but my eyeballs were sweating. Reminding myself that I'm lucky to have the ability to lovingly move my body. Trying to stay consistent even though the scale isn't budging.

You can do it! Just take it one day and one workout at a time. Imagine a year from now, after consistency, when things you're doing now have become easy for you.... they don't get easier, you get stronger. You've got this!

Christine V.

Good job
