Alright guys, we are closing in on our last weekend and final days!

I want you all to set a goal for the next few days. I want this goal to be ACTION oriented. Not OUTCOME oriented.

This means I want your goal to be something like:

✅Hit my macros every day
or
✅Get all my workouts in

NOT:
✅Lose 2 pounds

Make sense?? Drop your goal below!

Progress check! We have just a few more days!! How much are you down so far??

If you want to keep your results going my team would love to help you! We have a signature program called the Moxie Metabolic Reset Method where we use flexible modified macro strategies and cyclical nutrition phases to help women over 30 lose 10-15lbs in 12 weeks.

If you're interested, fill out the application here to see if we would be a good fit!

Anyone else emotionally eat? I tragically lost my big brother 9/20 in a motorcycle accident, he was 33 years old and had a full life ahead of him. I somehow made it through his services this week and managed to still lose a pound. I allowed myself to eat when I felt hungry and was mindful of my portions. I didn’t hit my macros like I wanted, didn’t track anything, and definitely didn’t make my water goals. Goes to show that portion control in general is a huge factor.

I’m so sorry Aubrey. In moments like that, I would definitely say give yourself grace and just do the best you can.

kazgirl22

So very sorry for your loss!

Let's get MOVING!!!

I want you guys to focus this week on getting 8-10,000 steps in every single day!

A HUGE part of our daily calorie burn is our lifestyle activity! Movement can make a HUGE impact on our weight loss so who's in for this challenge?!

I struggle to get 7000 steps a day. I have an office job and don't get up from my desk but a few times a day. I have incorporated a short walk after lunch around the parking lot and walk at home before it gets dark but it usually isn't a long walk because I ha e so much to do once I get home from work and to get to bed at a good time. Any suggestions??

Trainer Lindsey

I have a couple ideas! Can you get up 20 minutes early and go on a 20 minute walk in your neighborhood? That would give you about 2000 steps. You can also do another one at night after dinner. If you can get up from your desk, a little bit more and even just walk around for two or three minutes… Like taking a long way to the bathroom all of those steps will add up throughout the day if you’re doing it often.

Sarah R.

I ran 4 miles! Have been in PT since May for a knee issue so super excited to be back at it.

Let’s chat a little bit about meal timing!

Is it true that you shouldn’t eat carbs at night?!

The answer is… it depends!

Science says that it really doesn’t matter when you eat your food and as long as you’re in a calorie deficit and hitting your protein you’ll be fine.

But here are a few things to consider:
➡Sometimes healthy carbs at night can improve sleep and give you energy for an early am workout
➡But also sometimes big meals at night (especially if they include sugar) can disrupt sleep and the recovery that comes along with that because your body is focusing on digestion
➡Some people can stay on track better all day if they have a nightly treat to look forward to
➡Other times people have a hard time stopping snacking at night when they do eat after dinner

So as you can see it really depends on the person. Do you feel like you do better or worse when you eat at night?

I don’t usually eat after dinner which is around 5:30/6:00

I’m not quite at halfway, but I’ve stuck with my exercise plan and focus on caring for myself with healthy foods and I think the results are starting to show. After taking care of other people, it can be hard to give myself the attention I need to be healthy, but I’m trying!

Elyse G.

I was not, but hopefully I will make it

Did you know that if you're dehydrated all of your body proccesses will suffer including digestion and metabolism!
I know that drinking enough water can be tough! So let’s go over some simple “how to’s” for getting your water in!

1 - Get a water bottle or cup and straw that you love to drink from! That will help you WANT to drink more water!

2 - Every time you go to the bathroom drink 8oz of water after you wash your hands!

3 - Mix a scoop of Boost Shot or Hydration into your water! As an added bonus Boost will give you a “boost” of sustained energy! Flavor always helps me drink more!

4 - Refer to the clock! Try to drink half your water by lunch time and the rest by 7pm so you’re not up all night using the bathroom!

5 - Whenever you grab your water bottle, drink 10 swallows! That will effortlessly increase your intake!

What is your top tip to help you drink more water?

Anna

I agree that drinking enough water makes a huge difference in so many areas! Thanks for the tips and the reminders. I’m focusing on hydration for the second half of the game!

I have found that the first 3-5 days of a lifestyle change or new habit is the hardest so CONGRATULATIONS!! You’re made it through with the hardest part!

If you’ve found yourself struggling, don’t beat yourself up over it. Just keep on doing your best every single day and I PROMISE it’ll get easier!

If you’re still high on motivation and this has been easy for you, that’s awesome! Enjoy this time when motivation is high! Also remember though, that motivation won’t always be sky high and right now is when you’re building habits that will last you through the hard times when motivation is low. It WILL happen. Expect it. When it does, you’ll be able to rely on these habits you’re building now to get you through!

So I want to know…. How are you guys doing so far? Comment below and let me know!

What if you meal prepped more on the weekends instead of having to do so much of it at night? Also, are there faster dinners that you could prepare that don’t take two hours in the kitchen?

Sarah R.

I’m into faster dinners. We use a lot of the prepared (fresh) Costco meals. You can find the nutritional values on my fitness pal so I just measure and log them.
