I am a wife a mom of three, a high school teacher and also a coach for a high school running group "Katy Students Run". We train students for 19 weeks for a half marathon in January. We also focus on smart goals, hydration, nutrition and showing them how to pace themselves.

A friend of mine told me about DietBetter, and recommended that I try it to see if the encouragement from others, as well as the competition would help me lose weight. I gave it a try for a 4-week game and I won. So I tried it again, I won again. I took some time off the games for a while until a different friend challenged me to the six-month game. I saw it as doable, so I joined. While I have only won one of the 3 rounds so far, it still keeps me accountable.

I had tried logging my food, writing it down, cutting food out, exercising on my own, diet pills, having others accountable for me and I wasn't very successful. I think DietBetter worked for me because I am a competitive person. I like to beat my previous goals. I don't like to fail. If it is close to the end of a round I pick it up and work harder.
