So I have bad news and good news. I’ll get the bad news out of the way first. Okay so this past Thursday due to my stupidity and complete disregard of my safety I ended up falling from my bike. “But how Kimberly?!” you ask, well for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to take of my sweater whilst riding my bicycle. Stupid, right?! Yes. It was very stupid. Frankly I’m lucky that I didn’t hurt my head but I did walk away with two abrasions (one on my stomach the other on my elbow) and a bent handlebar which cost me 20 dollars to repair. But more than the 20 dollars what hurt me most was that I wouldn’t be able to run for a bit. So I haven’t gotten a run in since Wednesday…
The scale knows it, lol. Needless to say I didn’t achieve my mini goal of 77.9kg. I will try my hardest to get it there in time for weigh in on Thursday. I got four days. I plan to start running again tonight. I’m sure it won’t be pretty but I think I’m healed enough to try. I plan on getting up at 5 AM this whole week to get out for a 5k run! Wish me luck! So that was the bad news.
The good news is that I am ROCKING my abstinence from alcohol challenge. 7 days strong!! Woot woot! I was really concerned for this weekend actually because I was going to be hosting a barbeque in my house. At first when my friends came they kind of forgot that I made that public announcement. But the drunker they got the more they kept offering me, claiming that they “forget” lol. It was whatever though. I was tempted I’m not gonna lie. But I. Did. Not. Budge. GO ME! That night we went out to the bar after, I ordered pineapple juice.YUM. I probably didn’t need the sugar but YUM. I also drank two cups of coffee. At the bar. LOL. I could get used to the sober life. After we went dancing and I was offered drinks at LEAST five times. Guess who didn’t drink?! ME!
Also Non-scale victory. I started to get hot like really hot and I said EFF IT! And took off my cardigan and stayed dancing in my tank top and skirt. I never, I repeat, I NEVER do that. I used to be so self conscious about my arms but not anymore!! These are the arms that can do 20 pushups! BOOYAH. Lol anyways I danced, and jumped and fist pumped for 2 and a half hours. It was glorious. My body was like yes! Movement! (I also managed to catch a cold this weekend lol). Therefore, after all that jumping around I am confident that I can try running today.
10 days. 2.5kg. Challenge Accepted.
