Monday is not my day

Three Mondays ago, I got my MRI results.

Two Mondays ago, I found out I need surgery.

Yesterday, I had a wreck on my way home from work.

Next Monday, might just stay home and turn the phone off. LOL

There's a bright side to all of those things. I have health insurance and a health savings account to pay for the MRI. I have an additional policy to help me pay for the balance of my deductible. I've had surgery before and this one isn't as bad as the other two. And as for the wreck, well, I'm fine. The other driver is fine. My car is drivable, just needs a new bumper.

So really, I have nothing in the world to complain about. Just thought I'd have a little Tuesday fun, since Mondays haven't really been fun for a bit.

OH, and I didn't overeat because of the wreck. I had one portion of rotisserie chicken and that was it.

Alice, you have been having a tough run of things lately, and your ability to stay positive and see things with a twist of humor is commendable and inspiring to me. I'm sorry you've had to deal with so many obstacles lately, but I have to say, you are taking them on like a total champion. I'm glad you came out of the car accident unscathed, too. Best of luck with your surgery. Keep up your great attitude and there will be no stopping you!

Thank you! It really is all about the attitude. Had a great conversation with our system support (on the phone as he's in another state). I asked a question and sort of knew what the answer was going to be, and it was. Wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear, but I expected it. I told him thanks and to have a great day. He was totally blindsided by my response and told me that he hadn't expected such a cheery response to his unfortunate information. I asked him if I had been mad about it, would it have changed his answer? HA, no, of course not. No need to get upset over something I can't change.

Ugh! Way to look at the bright side. First world problems, ammirite? That's what bumpers are for, afterall. I have NOT managed to not overeat to my recent stresses, so good job having self control for the both of us :) I still made my weigh-in, and I am headed on vacation tomorrow, so I can't complain. T-minus 7.5 hours till 5 days off. I will behave with food, and walk a LOT.

After the last three days I've had at work, I'm a little happy about getting some time off. Not sure what that says about me, or the days I've had. LOL
