Hello, my name is Lyn and I'm a recovering Diet Coke addict... Well, maybe that's not quite accurate. Many years ago, I would start my work day by buying a 1.5 litre bottle of Diet Coke. I drank that every single day. At some point it seemed wrong to pour so many chemicals into my body so I got off it. [Disclaimer: I will almost always order a Diet Coke with my meal when we go out, which isn't often.] Later I realized that the juice that I assumed was a healthier choice was not much better than a soft drink. Later again, when I started tracking my food and making more nutritionally sound decisions, I realized that I didn't want to 'waste' my daily calories on any drinks. It would be water from that point on. What a difference from my Diet Coke days. No more crazy bloating, no gas, no headaches, etc! My challenge now is to drink enough water. That rarely happens. I'm working on it though! Thanks for reminding me of what progress I have made in this area.
