This. This is SUCH a great post. I am so excited for you! There's a quote from a TV show that's really apt here. "It's scientifically proven that if you look good on the outside, you actually become confident and happy. It's called outside-in living, Kimmy. And I have bought TWO books on it." BTW, if you are a fan of wonderful things and you don't know about The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt I demand you stop what you are doing RIGHT NOW and watch every episode. Anyway, even though this show is making jokes about plastic surgery, they have a point. Feeling good about your outsides (this may be limited to those of us who have spent a significant amount of time feeling BAD about our outsides, I don't know. I have historically spent very little time liking what I see.) really DOES make you more confident and makes you embrace your whole personality. And by you I mean me. Have you noticed you feel taller? I always notice that first. And I'm sure you walk differently-- not because you've lost weight and your center of gravity is changing, but because you feel good. Gosh. I'm so so happy for you! The confidence you're displaying in your work and social life (ex-friend, goodbye!) is multifaceted, and I think that your faith in you has ultimately been the catalyst for all the good things happening to/for you-- BUT the affirmation of lookin' gooooooood and feeling good-- well, a little of that is Outside In living. Fake it till you make it is corny, but it works. Positive thought is pow
