You can do it Trishanna! I took a holistic health (HH) class last semester (on my 20 year plan to graduate) and it really opened my eyes to how food affects our bodies. My teacher talked about a study that was done on surgery and if it was actually beneficial. They did a double blind study, no one knew except the doctor I think. They took the group of people, half actually got the surgery and the other half just got an incision to make it look like they had surgery and the results were really similar. Not saying this is the case for all surgeries, but that sometimes it's not the surgery that changes someone, it's the changes they make after because of the shock. Also learned that the bacteria in our GI tract impacts us more that you would think. He told us about someone who had a fecal transplant, I know, it sounds gross, but that the receiver of the transplant got better and started to receive characteristics from the donor; the donor was a overweight and so the receiver of the transplant gained weight. There's a lot more, but too much to post. You can Google about it. I think it would be beneficial for you to do some research on HH, seems like something that could benefit you. Good luck with everything!
