DAY 187: The right to bare arms

Jim Gaffigan has this bit about personal trainers - that when they're hired, they're handed a t-shirt that's a size too small and are instructed to be condescending. I think she hit the nail on the head in the condescending department. Why would she do that!? I think you should hand her the photos from the Tale of Two Weddings and tell her to stuff it. Also - what are you doing as far as arm workouts? How do I say this without sounding like a creeper...I would like to have arms like yours!

I don't know why, but I am JUST seeing your comment. That made me chuckle -- I can totally picture trainers at an orientation, watching a Power Point of lessons in condescension while wearing their tiny T-shirts. Haha. I know one thing, and that's that I wasn't treated politely, so I won't hesitate to check my own politeness at the door next time and tell anyone who tries to talk to me while I'm doing cardio to wait to talk to me until I'm done. Thanks for the compliment!! Wow! I do the overhead shoulder press, then triceps extension, then chest press, then lateral pulldown, then the dual pulley row. I used to do bicep curls with a dumb bell, but that was boring and I'm more concerned about triceps and shoulders than biceps, so I skip that now. I also use the ellipticals with the arm handles so they get a bit of reinforcement while I'm doing cardio, too. I do arms every other day and it takes about 20-25 minutes. I've been noticing it working!
