Dang it, Adrienne! I wish you had posted this sooner so I could help alleviate some of your fears! I'm sure you're all done by now, but just so you know - anything invasive will have risks of bleeding, infection, death. That doesn't mean they're at all likely, but it's still a possibility. Yes, you could have an artery tear or an air bubble, but I'm sure you're at a place that does these all the time, so they've got their technique down and it's a non issue. Really, heart caths have become so routine and physicians have done so many of them, that generally, they're really, really good at them! And if something does happen, you've got a whole team right there to fix it! So, I'm sorry you've been especially scared, but am so glad you went in to get checked out! Maybe this will help with your shortness of breath, too! Good chance of it! If they can stent or balloon something in there, you'll just be all the more ready to get some good workouts in! :)Do keep me posted!
