Happy Thanksgiving. Down another pound. Crazy diet. Today I am very thankful for getting to choose what I eat - many people have no option or choice and many go without food.
Random thoughts... I wish my scale was accurate to 1/10 of a pound instead of 2/10.
Today will be interesting. When I started this diet and told my husband about the restrictions he asked about Thanksgiving and I said I would have a cocktail with him and decide what to do on Thanksgiving. We have already decided to go out to The Lion's Den to watch the Lions game and have lunch/supper there. This already throws some controls into the mix. Not cooking means not tasting the prep work, not having "unlimited" access to food and no leftover stuffing (my love/nemesis - seriously I love it cold, hot anyway ya got).
So here we are. I have decided to really enjoy and relish Thanksgiving supper with Art. One meal will not send me off the slippery slopes and I have already lost 10 pounds in 4 1/2 weeks.
So here is my food plan for today.
Breakfast: 3 Egg Whites "poach/scrambled" in Kitchen Basic no salt added Chicken Stock and a sage leaf, Baby Romaine with Pompeain Balsamic Pomegranate Vinegar and 1 piece of Applewood smoked bacon. I know the bacon is not on my program, but I really enjoyed it, all 50 calories of it ;) (181 calories)
Snack: "Poached" egg white.
Lunch: Lion's Den Thanksgiving meal of Oven Roasted Turkey, seasoned stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and a choice of salad or coleslaw (was very tempted to select the "Jamestown Fried Chicken" menu option, but let's not be ridiculous LMAO). I will select the "all white meat" option. Oh, and yes I will be enjoying the complimentary popcorn with my Ketel One.
Snack 2: "Poached" egg white
Dinner: Leftover flank steak with broccoli.
When I plug everything ointo Myfitnesspal it comes up at 1,659 colories for the entire day. That isn't as bad as I anticipated. The only thing is I am "breaking" 5 of the 10 rules of The Fast Metabolism Diet. Oops... I might even have a dessert ;) (Pumpkin pie is 323 colories on its own hmmmmm - I think it is time to ZUMBA!!!! (I will ignore my bone spur and enjoy it!)
