Good to see you again! I was successful my first DietBet, so I'm trying another with hopes of more results! My first dietbet, I lost 10.4 lbs and only gained .2 lbs during the Thanksgiving weekend! Says a lot about how my metablism has increased!
It might also have to do with the fact that I ran my first 5k that morning. It was an incredible experience and I cannot wait to do it again! I ran the Turkey Day 5k. Prior to this, I had run max 3/4 of a mile (about 8 min) straight. My sister did it with me, however she ran in the 10 minute coral as she lives in Denver (less oxygen when she runs) and is in much better shape than myself. I ran in the last coral thinking I was going to run a 15 minute mile and walk a lot. I ended up running about 95% of it and finished it in 37:00 with a 12:03 mile! SUPER EXCITING! I've attached a photo of me post-race!
Anyone live in Chicago and planning to run the Ugly Sweater Run in two weeks? :D
Anyway, really excited to start this second DietBet and lose the 6.6 lbs I need to lose! Let's do this!
