I'm a little disappointed in myself, but I'm back on track!
My husband and I went out with another couple Friday night and we went to a Cuban Restaurant. So delicious! Well, I broke my diet. I'm doing Atkins and need to stay between 18 and 22 net carbs per day. I had plantains and some beans and rice. Oh, and a glass of wine.
I went right back to sticking to my diet on Saturday. Our family went out for breakfast after church yesterday and I had a omelet with ham, cheese, spinach and avacado. It was delicious! I had to say no to the hash browns and pancakes that came with it, but my mother-in-law was happy to take them home as leftovers. It wasn't as difficult to stick to it this time.
I spent about an hour chasing my 2-year old around the park, and I had more energy than I have had in a while. Good things are happening!
I'm finding that planning is incredibly important in this endeavor. I need to have the vegetables and proteins that I need on hand and make sure I know what I will be bringing to work the next day.
This morning the scale shows me 11 pounds down, so my slip-up didn't derail me too far! I'm more determined than ever to keep fighting for my health.
