With the 3rd week under my belt I feel much better about this whole dieting thing. Each day seems easier, as far as diet and exercise routine is concerned. I guess that's the trick - get to the point where those mundane and not-so-fun things become habits.

I have been travelling for the last week and haven't been able to step on the scale. Will do this tomorrow morning. Pretty anxious to see if I've gained or lost weight over holidays. I've been meticulously tracking everything I eat through MFP and exercised 90 mins a days (stairs), so I hope I have not really gained anything. If the weight has increased, I'll attribute it to travel and water retention.

A few days ago I decided to buy myself some extra motivation - and a nice and shiny Garmin Fenix 3 is now counting my steps and keeping track of my general fitness levels while I exercise. So far pretty satisfied with the new toy - looks good enough to be worn every day, comfortable, accurate enough and the software ecosystem is not terrible. I prefer the simplicity of the Whithings Healt Mate but this is also ok.

Wish me luck. Just a few days to the finishline of my first diet bet. I am relatively sure I'll make it easily.
