They say that in order to reach a goal, it needs to be specific & achievable, and you must understand why you really want to do it in the first place. 

If your goal is weight loss, DietBet does the first part of that for you. In order to win, you have to lose 4% of your body weight in the set amount of time. For me, it comes out to roughly 2lbs a week (which is healthy and achievable for most people). 

While winning or losing money is motivating for most people, and might be your sole reason for joining a DietBet and trying to lose weight, I'd be willing to be that there's more to it than that. I know there is for me.

5. So that my clothes fit better and I feel better about myself

6. For the compliments that come with losing weight

7. To like the way I look in pictures

8. So that I'm less tired and sluggish

9. To become stronger

10. To try to win some money! :) 

 

When I feel like cheating or quitting, I'm going to remind myself of these reasons.
