So I failed at my first Dietbet (a one-monther) about a year ago. I did lose weight, just not fast enough. So I decided to try, again with a longer one (a 6 monther). Turns out they do it in rounds and my first round weigh-in is in 8 days. I doubt I'll make my round goal. I have lost weight, but not at the rate I need to. I have increased my workouts and have been moving a great deal more.
This afternoon I went through the players in my game and found my player token. It says I have a 15% chance to win my overall bet. It was sort of shocking (and demoralizing), but I am bound and determined not to give up. I am about to set off on a 2.5 mile "bonus" walk to celebrate not letting this knock me off the horse. Well, truthfully, I did get knocked off, but I am getting back on. ;oP
This morning I plugged my fat-stats into a weight calculator to help me determine what I should be eating each day. I plan to log all my calories, starting today--I must be misfiring with my nutrition as my movement has increased so much!!!
This will be okay. I will be okay. I don't know exactly how the game works, but it sounds like even if I blow my first round weigh-in, I can still win most of my dinero back. It's not the money, but the principle of it (that's how my brain works, anyhow).
So, onward and upward. I can do this. I can do this. Breathe.
