I'm glad this is just the first week, so it's OK to go back to my "diet" mainstays. Dieting when first begun is a new change in food choices, but then can quickly come a rut. Eating the same foods in the same way over and over.
For me to make this a lifestyle change, I will have to add diversity to my food choices. Be intentional about making meals and snack choices. It might mean breaking out those unused cookbooks and making the time to prepare food.
Preparation is the key. When I'm not prepared, I'm tempted by the chocolate at work, the quick easy pizza to the stores right and too much bread to the stores left.
Even seasoning food can make all the difference between rut roh boring and something healthy and yummy.
My other dilema to a healthy lifestyle change right now is limited finances, so I would appreciate ideas of healthy eating on the cheap. (p.s. I'm not into scouring dumpsters).
