So, Day 4 here of the challenge. Oh wow, am I tired. I woke up not wanting to do anything, but my Mom and I ended up going to the gym and once there I'm okay. Did the treadmill for 3.41 miles then did the incline trainer (UGH! 24% is HORRIBLE) for another 0.50 mile and a LOT of calories (the incline was so steep I had to hang on). Then, into the pool for a half hour. Carol and I were going to do Big Ben yesterday, but I didn't get to the gym, so I did it today. I was supposed to do 317 steps and then 3.17 miles. Okay, so I did both PLUS. I wanted to do just the regular stairmaster(after the treadmill), but they have 2 at the gym and apparently 1 is broken and it was being used. Hence the incline trainer. So, now I am POOPED. Stopped at Subway and got a 6 inch grilled chicken (no sauces or cheese) and I think I'm going to have to have a nap. :)
Everybody that I have "talked" to is doing really good on their diets. Of course, the real test is the last week. I mean some of us may lose really quickly at the beginning and then stay there for the whole month on a plateau. So, I perserve because I'm betting this happens to me. Hopefully not, but who knows.
I put the Snoopy cartoon on because that was me this morning, I really didn't want to move...
Gotta go to my "real" job tomorrow so I guess I will try to get in some walking at lunch time. I really try to get some kind of exercise every day. Yesterday afternoon I felt really bad not doing anything, so I broke down and did the exercise bike. Then, UGH! CATASTROPE! My battery in my Ipad died while I was on the exercise bike and watching the English program "Fat Doctor". So, I didn't last much past my battery. OH well, that was about 45 minutes and 7 miles.
So, just reporting I am hanging in there and really really trying to stay on my diet. The bet thing really is a good motivator because no way do I want to lose my money, so it's making me think twice before I reach for the nuts. (I love nuts)
The day today is half over so I'm looking forward now to Day 5. I'm not trying to wish my life away, I'm just trying to put 1 foot in front of the other.
Hang in there! Denise
