Okay, I'm going to whine, it is COLD down here in Florida. Okay, maybe not cold by northern standards, but COLD. It is having a serious impact on my not going outside. We always have a little cool down here, but usually during the day it's in the 70's. BRRR...not lately, the days are not warming up much. Okay, so I will quit whining when I know there are people out there running in the snow.
So, on to DAY 12. Well, I have to work today so I will try to get in a walk at lunchtime. Even if I have to walk around and around inside the building. I'm sorry to bother my co-workers, but hopefully they will understand, especially since they also are signed up for the 5M (yes 5 miles, not kilometres) trail run next month.
Didn't get much exercise (AGAIN!) yesterday, but again did watch the old calories.
I signed up for a Transformer (6 months) starting next week and I signed up for another Kickstarter (4 weeks) that starts right after this one. I have been getting a lot of encouragement from people in my game groups. So, I'm going to stick with that group for the Transformer and the next Kickstart. I HOPE that by the end of the Transformer to have lost everything I want to. Six months is a reasonable time for that.
My Mom and I both have been on the meal plan for a year now and a few months ago my Mom's doctor took her off her diabetic medication for the first time in over 20 years! AND, he reduced the blood pressure meds. So, we took her back to the doctor yesterday for a checkup and everything is great, well except for her cholesterol which he said probably had something to do with the "blip" between Thanksgiving and Christmas and probably things like chocolate chip cookies (I had this crazy idea to MAKE goodies this year for my friends instead of buying things). All in all, he was very pleased. The reason I mentioned this is that if it (a diet and exercise program) is working for a person 83 years old, it can work for all. The Doctor said that a few years ago he thought she probably wasn't long for this world, but now we have a new person that can swim, row, exercise bike (my Mom). If an 83 year old little old lady can do it, ANYBODY can. No excuses. Every time you exercise, every time your turn down that fattening food you have the potential to extend your life. You don't think about that at 20 or 30 or even 40, but when you get older then you do. That is IF you get older, so think about it sooner rather than later.
So, on to DAY 12, almost halfway there!!! And, I guess I have to weigh again next week for the Transformer, so I will have an "official" weight. WE CAN DO IT!
Later, Denise
