This up and down with the weight is enough to drive a person crazy. 4% of your weight sounds easy enough, right..but when you start doing it, you are up, you are down, etc etc. Never have I weighed myself every day and yet I find myself doing it. Some days I'm happy, some I am perplexed.
I think the best way to determine if you are losing weight is to take your measurements. Measurements don't lie and unless you retain a LOT of water, they don't change on a day to day basis. Actually, it would be good if DietBet had a place for people to do just that, check your measurements when you start and check when you are finished. Of course, you could do it on your calendar but if there was a place on the starting page, that would be great. Maybe there is and I just didn't notice?
So, off to work today (but first my weekly blood test) and outside we are REALLY having a thunderstorm so if that continues, I will have to walk inside again. I'm a little stiff from yesterday, so I might not do a whole lot but I want to make sure that I do SOMETHING. If every day I stay on the food plan AND do some exercise I know it will pay off. Next week I have my diabetic and lipid blood panels so we will see if my A1C is staying down and my LCL is down and my HDL up. That is the real test, that and the MEASUREMENTS.
I think I mentioned I have signed back up for the whole program at Nutrisystem. Since the end of last year we had just been having a modified program buying ala carte Nutrisystem items. But, I decided (when they had a 50% off sale, LOL) that maybe I should just get back on the whole program. This is NOT an advertisement for Nutrisystem, I am just mentioning it because that is the program I personally have found most successful. Other people use other programs or they are strong enough to devise their own.
TOMORROW we are going to the gym and trying out the MOVIE ROOM. We just stuck our head in there last time we were there and I know I mentioned this before, but it is a fairly large room with an entire wall that is a movie screen and exercycles and treadmills lined up in the room. So, you can watch a movie and exercise. I don't even care what the movie is, some thing to take away the boredom of the treadmill is always appreciated.
Okay, well LATER, Denise
