I know its frustrating, but remember exercise is not the only part we can "work" on. And sometimes we use food or exercise as a crutch for the other. So now you can focus on food, and when its time to workout you may be less likely to overindulge because you know your working out because you have had to not figure out a way to stay on track without the crutch of exercise. But wish you weren't in so much pain. I fear the days (and their few) when I'm in pain that I just alter what I'm doing, not like you completely out of commission. :(
