It's been about a week since my last blog. I did some tweaking with my workout.
For starters, I'm walking 5 miles a day and doing some HIIT at home. Much more convenient then driving somewhere to workout. Secondly, I reduced my net calorie intake to 1200 kcal. Yes...I was nervous at first but I've been using more of my farmshare and found some interesting recipes from Spark People (thanks to a DB member's comment).
I'm not a fan of cooking - but it was on of the first-final steps to get in a good flow of having something good to eat in the evenings and not feel like I was boring myself to death with basic food. Make some pizza, baked chicken breast for sandwich wraps....looking now at some recipes to use all of this squash I have.
So, between loging the food in MPF, recording workout using Map My Run, and pushing myself to prep foods (that I'm craving) in a healthy way - the pounds are coming off (of course with hydration and reducing TV because of the ever present food commericals).
I don't do official weigh-ins until Tuesdays (or when needed for the monthly pot). However, I do a quick daily check. I did a step down in calories - 1700, 1600, 1500 and finally 1200 net - which helped me get used to the reduced calories. The unofficial weigh-ins are promising....almost at the first month!
