Morning weigh-in: 155.2!!!

Goal weight: 155

Honestly, I'm just floored at how well this is going. I'm not surprised to see a bit of a drop since yesterday, though. You know when you haven't moved much *out* of your body for a few days and then you do? lol.

Yesterday was pretty good. My body was so sore that all I really wanted to do was lay around in bed all day. But instead I hit the local market, Trader Joe's, and Aldi. I may or may not have also done some shoe shopping... so my step count for the day wasn't abysmal. It was probably better for my body that I got moving a bit. Either way, no workout. But I burned 2,128 calories and still hit my 5 day workout goal for last week!

My food intake was still around 1,200 - but we did go get tacos! I looove Salvadorian food, and I usually get a pupusa and a chicken tamale when we go, with at least one other thing and a big coconut water. This time I opted for a pupusa with one small taco, and went with regular water. And I was so full when we left the restaurant. Dinner was grilled porkchops with homemade applesauce (I skipped adding any sugar and instead just put a tiny bit of honey in it) and this whipped cauliflower recipe I found on Pinterest. Similar to the consistency of mashed potatoes, and really good! I love it when I find healthy recipes I really enjoy. We stopped for coffee after the market, and the husband got a coffee with creamer and sugar. I opted for a shot of espresso. Slowly brainwashing myself into thinking I truly enjoy it. lol.

It's crazy to think that on a typical weekend, the husband and I would generally make eggs and bacon for breakfast, go crazy on tacos for lunch, and then probably hit up another restaurant and order without regard. Not to mention having a beer or three and a bunch of snacks in between. My diet is 99% of my success right now. I've had 2 drinks since the Dietbet started and I've cut my daily calories in half, leaving out a lot of the salt I consume on the regular, and a huge chunk of the carbs. But honestly, I don't feel like I'm depriving myself - sure, every once in a while I get an intense craving. But I try my best to just find a replacement that will get me 80% there. Or I decide what's important (that glass of wine at the networking event, for example) and make room elsewhere. It's not about banishing all unhealthy foods from my diet, it's about making priorities and finding balance. And I feel so much better for it.

Will definitely be working out today, though I haven't decided what. Likely elliptical. Maybe some work on the abs. My shoulders and legs are still so very sore. Lunch will be a veggie burger and probably the last of my detox soup. We'll have leftovers for dinner (love not cooking!).
