I started this Transformer in conjunction with a Kickstarter to restoke my system and actually "kickstart" my success in this Transformer.  My short term commitments for 30 days are (as some of you know)...

  • No alcohol  (aka "por favor - No Bibidas Para Michel")
  • Use MyFitnessPal.com to plan and track my food (for me that is 1,200 colories)
  • Eat every 2 to 3 waking hours
  • Exercise 3 times a day and have some form of protein within 1/2 hour of completing each workout
  • Eat something within 1/2 hour of waking up

I slept great last night, even though I went to bed "early" for me 10:00.  So I was wide awake at 6 am.  I tried to go back to sleep but after 20 minutes I got up.  

I made myself a cup of green tea with fresh grated ginger (anti-inflamatory miracle for me).  I started playing my "word with friends" and after a while I realized that my ginger probably doesn't count as "eating".  Crud!  I quickly rack my brain for "what can I have that won't totally throw off my plan for the day".  Remember I had purchased some hard boiled medium eggs - just have 2 egg whites.  

Confession - I really dislike egg white texture.  It isn't so bad when you have deviled eggs or really good egg salad (both obviously not on plan now) - but just egg whites... well not so much.  But they are the obvious choice for a quick, nutritious, low-calorie intake.

So, I sprinkled my egg whites with chipotle powder and pink sea salt and consumed them - as I entered then into myfitnesspal.

On a positive note, today is date day and we are going up to The Coyote Grill.  

PLAN FOR SUCCESS - I have on my Cinco de Mayo plan a fajita steak salad with tortilla chips and salsa.  This will be romaine lettuce and onions topped with grilled flank steak (4 ounces) with fresh salsa for dressing and 2 ounces of tortilla chips (yes I am taking my little scale with me).  I am so excited for something really crunchy :)
