Day 4: I weighed in today at a whopping 210.4. I am pleased that I am going in the right direction. My ultimate goal is to lose 25 more pounds before the Chicago Marathon on October 13th.  I think it is important to have smaller goals along the way. I have less than 10 lbs. to go in the Diet Bet and I have a really positive outlook right now. The only negative is that I am constantly battling cravings. Today I ate 1 Banana, 1 apple, 1 small applesauce, 1 small bowl of peaches, 1 small salad, 1 can of pinapple juice, and one large chicken fajita salad. I also drank 7 bottles of water. My workout last night consisted of a 4 mile run, today (a.m.) I jogged 1.7 miles and did push-ups, sit-ups, dumbell routing, planks, and birddogs (12 reps. each). At night, I ran a glow run 5k for about 27 minutes and I did do about a .5 mile warm-up jog.

Day 5: I tipped the scales this morning @ 209.4. This is a good benchmark for me, and I'll tell you why.  When I began my weightloss journey last May, I made an internal deal that anytime I dropped below an even increment of 10 I would not get back above that number. That worked well for me until about January. I had lost a total of 57 pounds, and I started letting others get in my head saying that I didn't need to lose any more or just that I looked great at that weight or any number of comments. To make a long story short I stopped losing. I gained back from my low point of 203 back up to 215 (the day after I took my initial "official" weigh in for this bet). I have re-affirmed that I will not get back above 210, and that I will keep going until I hit my goal weight, not letting anyone back in my head and allowing them to sideline my efforts.
