I am sorry to all who have had to watch me bench with my gut showing. I would like to show everyone the video of me benching 225 lbs 20 reps but my gut is huge. I am sorry for that. I am sorry for looking like this for the last 28 years of my life. I am sorry to my children for going to every on of their events heavy. I can only imagine how embarrassed they felt to have a parent like me. I am sorry to my beautiful wife for putting up with this for 28 years. I am sorry for letting her down with weight loss so many times.

Sign in to CommentMike....I so relate to you!!!! I have had so many of the same issues you have....I ate all the time and never got full..I still don't get full but just know I have to stop eating at a certain point. I tried every diet that came out and always lost weight but gained it all back and then more. I too was totally embarrassed and sure my family was ashamed of me. I first started DietBet about three years ago and have had great success!!!!! According to my doctor, I weighed 212 and did lose about 20 lbs before joining DietBet. I am five three. I got down to the low 150s and kept it off for about two years ....until this Thanksgiving....now I have to get going and get my new gain off.... And I will. I also have cardiomyopathy. But not very bad. I LOVE ?? Dietbet....It has been my salvation. Good luck to everybody!!!! We can all do this....especially if we work together. And Jennifer.....I know you too can and will do it. Just one day at a time!!

Excellent post! NOW..... Don't be sorry.. be different!!! You can do this. How great to have good children and a good wife. They are good to you... YOU be good to you and you'll never have to be sorry again. (except for all the typical husband/father failures... but not about your weight! haha! ) Go!

It sounds like today is a half empty day. I am feeling a little Pollyanna-ish today so. Congrats on benching 225 lb for 20 reps. That is awesome. Congrats for being married for 28 years to someone it sounds like you still love very much. And how lucky your kids are to have a supportive parent that goes to their events. My mom never went to my sport events in high school. She was a single mom that had to work so I get it but I still remember the one time my brother was home and came to my cross country meet. Your kids will remember your actions. Keep on, keeping on.
