I have to admit I do prefer vodka or green smoothies. I have been enjoying a few vodkas the past week (and watching the scale), and while I didn't gain weight, I did not feel the vitality and energy I had going in to my little happy hour fun. I have also been relying on Preservative Free Frozen meals supplemented with veggies. Need to shake (or should I say "Smooth-ie) it up a bit.
So this week I got back on the wagon and stocked up on greens, fruits and veggies. A couple weeks ago I discovered about Anutra Grain. "Anutra Grain Omega-3s Antioxidants has 50% more usable protein, 70% more fiber and more antioxidants than flax or cultivated blueberries. It's also the highest and safest natural source of omega 3s, antioxidants, fiber and complete protein." While they say that Anutra has a neutral taste and a "unique" gelling quality (it i in the Chia family), I find that it has a distinct flavor and I have to drink my smoothies a little more quickly and onluy make what is going to be consumed immediately - no saving half for later. (Anutra is also gluten free and non GMO).

- Shrimp - dry sauteed with 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil, crushed red pepper and bragg's Amino Acids
- Quinoa - finished with heated cranberries and Pompiian Pomegrate infused Red Wine Vinegar and toasted sesame seeds
- Spinach
Snack 3
- Sabra Hummus
- Sliced Carrots
