So, we have made it to the last week. My wife and I are in the last few days of our very first DietBet challenge. I'm extremely nervous because my weight keeps fluctuating and I've dropped below my goal weight, and have also been about a pound or two above it within the last week. It's really frustrating. I wish I could stay below my goal weight and not fluctuate so much. I have been EXTREMELY good and haven't cheated as badly as I was afraid I would. My worst enemy is work. A co-worker keeps a very LARGE supply of candy and chocolate (my weakness) continuously stocked and plentiful in our department. Today she surprised me with white chocolate peanut butter cups!!! Are you kidding me??!!! I caved. FOUR days left and I caved!!! I have done so well and stayed away from the Tuesday donuts our boss brings in every week, as well as not bought anything too bad to snack on at the house. I've drank my water almost religiously (almost so well that my office should just be relocated by the bathroom). My wife and I try to walk a couple of miles or more on most days and get in other types of fun cardio workouts on the weekends. We even took our son and my nephew to St. Louis last weekend. We went to the City Museum, the Zoo and even to a Cardinals game and we were able to eat very healthy. With the exception of the ONE beer we had all weekend (and the only one we've had throughout the last 30 days) just because it didn't seem right going to an MLB game and not having one lol. But we ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and split it between the two of us (wife & I). We took snacks and food in the cooler with us to make our own sandwiches so that we didn't fall into the trap of vacation weight gain going to out eat for every meal lol. Last night I also made ravioli out of zucchini instead of noodles and it was a big success!

We just have to make it these next few days and be very disciplined when it comes to eating and healthy decisions. Thankfully, we have DietBet and all of you to help keep us accountable and on track! We also have to stay on track because we're in a transformer game as well. So we will have to weigh in for that one, as well as continue to lose the next 5 months.
