Tuesday, September 2nd:

3:40am – I am up and ready to go running with my college buddy, Amy.  Get naked and jump on the scale.  138.1, not bad.  That’s down from yesterday.  Even though I SHOULD, I don’t have any water.  I get dressed and run to Allen and Corson to meet up with Amy.

5:12am – 5.25 miles later, I’m at the grocery store and picking up a protein shake and dog food.  The dog food is for my dogs, of course.  Walk home, stretch, and get naked again to get on the scale.  137.1…even better.  I log the weight and then rehydrate.  I have two sips of protein shake.  Water is at 48 ounces. 

8:40am – made it to work, which was about a one mile walk.  I have made my Nike Fuel Goal for the day – in fact, I hit the 3300 Nike Fuel BEFORE I got to the office!  Exceptional!  Have had two sips of Trader Joe’s Very Green Juice and two sips of my protein shake.  My meetings are light today – but three of them are back to back to back.  I may have to get creative with walking every hour.  Still, I feel good.  I’m not starving.  Water is at 64 ounces.

9:58am – dang it, I hate the first day in the office after a long weekend.  Everyone wants SOMETHING!  I have yet to fill my water bottle here and I realize that I’m out of my flavor packets.  When I can finally break away to the local dollar store, I am in awe of all the yummy things on the shelves that I can’t eat.  S’mores Eggo Waffles!  Pop Tarts!  Laffy Taffy!  Red Vines!  ARRGGH!  I am proud that I resist the urge to get bad food and just pick up my packets and get out.  Filling the Kleen Kanteen now…two more sips of protein shake and Very Green juice. 

1:28pm – ARRRGH!  I hate meetings!  Well, that’s not true.  I hate meetings that require me to go from one building to another building to another building and no time to fill water bottles or eat.  Ha ha.  I’m back at my desk now and I’m having a bowl of the Pureed Vegetable soup from last night.  That cayenne pepper packs some heat today!  I’m at 112 ounces of water right now.  I don’t have any more meetings today but I fear that I will have to pick up some string cheese or something later.   ALTHOUGH – there is still about 1/3 bottle of the Very Green Juice and probably one big sip of Protein Shake left.  I’ve won five hours of Nike Fuel since leaving for work.  Still would like to win three more.  2pm, 3pm, 4pm and I’ll be good!

3:08pm – the day is dragging!  Just won 2 more hours on Nike Fuel by taking a 10 minute walk around campus.  Finished the protein shake, so that is finally logged on MFP.  I have about three sips left of the Very Green Juice.  Which is quite tasty now that I’ve had the day to think about it!  Staying strong with the water, too – I have logged 128 ounces, ONE FULL GALLON!  WOOT!

4:08pm – the work day will end soon.  I’m surprisingly un-hungry.  And the Very Green Juice is gone, fully logged on MFP.  I can’t believe I’ve been up since 3:40am, but it’s par for the course.  There have been three bags of chips and two cookies on our counter since 1:30pm and I’ve resisted.  Everything I’m doing right now has to do with making my weight tomorrow.  And if not tomorrow, then I do this again for Thursday.  I’m at 144 ounces of water for the day – haven’t peed this much in months.  It’s been very enlightening reading all the new graffiti on the bathroom walls.  Yes, I do work at a Community College J

6:14pm – all right!  The hubby made an outstanding fish taco for dinner tonight!  I tried to eat it slowly, but I was pretty hungry and it was super tasty.  I’m feeling pretty good about the day at this point.  My calorie count is under, so MFP is going to scold me…but combine that with a good workout tomorrow and I feel pretty good about making my goal weight on the first weigh in day!  I met my Nike Fuel goal…I won 11 hours on the day…water consumption is awesome, 160 ounces on the day!  YES!  So I’m watching some television and resting up until bedtime.  Tomorrow is a BIG day.

8:04pm – I’ve been up since 3:40am, as y’all know by now, and I’m dog tired.  My TV shows were less than entertaining, but I was starving…a slice of 2% cheddar cheese to tide me over but followed by the Super Dieter’s Tea…as Teresa Marie says, “to move everything along.”  I feel pretty good about where I will be tomorrow.  And if I’m not there…we’ll just detox for one more day.
