Hi My Beautiful DietBetter Family!!! I'M BACK!!! It has been a long time since I've checked in, and I want to apologize for that. While I was away on vacation, my back started acting up again, and by the time I got back home (10/18), I could barely walk. It didn't matter if I was lying down, sitting, or trying to walk to the bathroom or kitchen; I was in A LOT OF PAIN!!! Because I was suffering sooo much & I could barely do anything, I got into a serious funk. I was bedridden, so all I did was lie in bed & EAT!!! I didn't care what I ate, & my no-care attitude caused a 7.2-pound gain!!! LOL!!! Oh well: IT IS WHAT IT IS!!! LOL!!! I'm not worried about it because what's done is done.

Yesterday, I started thinking about how I'm just existing and not living, so I made the decision to take my life back. I prayed last night and asked GOD to give me the strength to get back on track to making healthier food choices & to do what I was doing before I fell off track. Well, my prayers were answered!!! HALLELUJAH!!! TODAY IS A NEW DAY!!! I'M BACK!!! I woke up this morning with a new attitude!!! I'm still dealing with this darn back pain, but I'm not gonna let it stand in my way any longer. (80% diet & 20% exercise, right???) Besides, I'm in 3 challenges, and I'm tired of losing my money!!! I can't afford to lose any more!!! LOL!!! One of my favorite sayings is: "I've got to get my mind right to get my body tight", and now that my mind is right, I need to start working on getting my body tight!!! Time for me to GET IT POPPIN'!!! :-)

I've missed you guys sooo much!!! I've missed all of your encouraging words, motivation, & inspiration, and I've missed giving it too!!! Now it's time for me to get back to it!!! SENDING PLENTY OF HUGS & LOVE TO ALL OF YOU!!! :-)

FYI - My doctor wanted me to take Oxycodone for the pain, but I told him that taking it wasn't an option. Too many people have become addicted to that medication, and I'm not trying to be one of them!!! I'm just gonna continue dealing with this pain the best way I can til it gets better. Hopefully, with some weight loss, I'll get some relief.....

I've been doing some research and came across some information on inversion therapy. People who have been suffering with severe back pain (herniated & bulging discs) have been raving about how much better they feel since they've tried it, so I'm thinking of buying an inversion table to see how it works for me. When I asked my doctor (via his assistant) about it, he told me not to buy it. (It was posted that anybody with a medical condition should check with their doctor, so I had to ask him.... LOL!!!) I'm waiting to hear back from him & to explain to me why I shouldn't. I know I have Sarcoidosis & a racing heart, but at this point, I'm almost ready to try it to see if it'll help me too. No worries guys!!! I'm gonna listen...... LOL!!!
