Friday was a tough day for me. I had to see my doctor to get my results. Once she gave them to me, I got sidetracked & started eating everything I wasn't supposed to eat trying to cope with the news I had heard.
1. My mammogram came back abnormal, and now I have to do more tests. I'm really nervous about this because my baby sister was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 36. She's an 8-year survivor (PRAISE GOD)!!! She ended up having a double mastectomy, and now she has 2 perky breasts. She said that she doesn't have any feeling in her nipples, but her husband loves them!!! LOL!!!
2. I have to get an abdominal CT scan because the abdominal ultrasound shows that my right kidney has a small sack filled with water attached to it, and they want to find out what that is.
3. I have to follow up with my GYN doctor because my pelvic ultrasound shows that my endometrium is too thick for a menopausal woman, and they have to rule out endometrial cancer.
Just hearing that alone was just too much, but I'm also still waiting to get my biopsy results from my colonoscopy & endoscopy. (I'll see my GI doctor on January 4th.) This is a bit overwhelming. Everyhing is hitting me at one time..... ITS JUST TOO MUCH!!! I was feeling down for a littlw while, and I've been eating like crazy trying to handle it. Today is a better day though. I'm just gonna pray, focus on healing, & hope for the best. I'm gonna take my own advice: "It's not what happens but how I handle what happens that will make the difference." Please pray for a sista!!!
