I know what you mean about work being a mine field of goodies! I too have a weakness for them. I allow myself one dessert a week (and usually share it). When I am craving something I write it down so I can remember what I want on my designated day. Usually by the time my selected day comes around I don't really want what is on the list.
My favorite way to nurture a craving during the week is to drink water and flavored herbal tea.
