Water, turns out, is zero calories! <giggle> no actually, because I came across an article ages ago about a journalist who drank half her weight in water everyday. Now she wasn't dieting. She just upped her water. She took a picture on day one and day 30 and WOW! It was amazing.
Since I can't afford a facelift. And I don't really want to go under the knife. And I really don't drink nearly enough water daily, I thought - Hey, here's my chance! CHALLENGE! And water really can be filling as well as washing those fat deposits away... (ok that's probably not how it happens, but let me dream!)
Walking is because I am in STEPBET games! and I have to walk even when I don't want to!
Also, walking does burn calories. Infact, walking a mile burns as many calories as running a mile. It's just that it takes 2-3 times longer! If you can run a mile in 10 minutes but walk it in 24 minutes you burn the same amount of calories, but in an hour, you would burn more running than walking.
For example:
10 minute mile running: 944 calories an hour covers 6 miles in one hour.
Same weighted person walking a 20 minute mile (3mph) would burn only 195 calories. and it takes 2 hours to cover 6 miles....
BUT... you do burn the same.. just takes longer! Ok maybe there are a few calories difference.. and sweat loss... but it really is pretty much the same...
and both those together equal weight loss... I hope!
But just to make sure if I fall down (cause I am 60 years old now!) I can get up... I am going to also throw in 10 easy squats a day! AND i will try to post a motivating video a day (no guarentees! )
