So, I wrote my last blog on like day 3 or 4 of this challenge...and then life happened lol. Not only am I an elementary music teacher, I'm also the school's testing coordinator for all state testing. So that has taken up every single ounce of free time I've had for the month of May. While I have met my goal for this DietBet, I'm disappointed in myself because once I hit my goal and knew I could sustain it, I started eating badly again: like all of my teacher appreciation chocolates, cookies, finishing off my kids' plates, etc. So while I have succeeded, I now have this question of how much more weight could I have lost if I'd stayed faithful the ENTIRE 4 weeks. And I hate that. I'm planning on starting the next DietBet but I'll be traveling for a solid two weeks during the month of June and that makes me VERY nervous. We're spending a week in Orlando with my family and then going straight to Gatlinburg for a week with my husband's family. I plan on bringing along my blender and my InstantPot because I know that we will definitely not be able to afford eating out for every meal but typically whenever I've travelled in the past, I let myself eat whatever I want because "the walking makes up for it". So my new goal, along with the new upcoming bet, is to stick to a healthy/whole foods/JERF diet as much as possible, eating breakfast in our condo each morning, and bringing along a lunch for the day. So if you know of any great snacks to pack, that are also kid friendly, or know of any great picnic-type lunch ideas I'd appreciate it! We're going to be doing 5 days of amusement parks in Orlando and I'm trying to plan ahead to the best packed (healthy) lunches and snacks to bring with me. Here goes nothing!
