Today was a great day! I stayed on my target for my food today and got a good workout in after work and was down in weight this morning. I think I can make a few changes to what I lined up yesterday though. I think a whole cup of oatmeal in the morning was more than I needed, especially with packing a big breakfast salad for 10am. I also need to significantly scale back on what I take for lunch when Im eating these 5 meals a day instead of just 2 or 3. But there is always room for change and improvement. I didnt get to go for my walk at lunch due to a meeting but after work I went straight to the gym and did the treadmill for half an hour followed by an hour of bodypump weightlifting class. And when running, I went for 8 minutes at 5mph and then for about 9 min which covered 3/4 of a mile, and I'm super excited about that! Ive got a 5k coming up in about a week so I am a little worried about how well Im going to do. Last time I ran a 5K I was able to do it in about 40 minutes, so it would be awesome to beat that. I was doing a lot more running last spring and have gotten out of it a little bit, so I am working on building my endurance back up now.
Tomorrow I know is going to be a very stressful day at work, but hopefully it will be going downhill from there. My wonderful boyfriend and I have tickets to go see a show tomorrow night, so I doubt I will have any time to exercise. I will just have to see how it goes, and maybe we can get some good calorie burn in dancing at the concert. Heres what Im hoping to follow for diet tomorrow, happy friday!
6am: wake up, get dressed, go to work
7am: drink protein shake w yogurt
10am: graze on breakfast salad with avocado, hard boiled egg, carmelized onions.
12pm: whatever they bring for lunch
5pm: orange and cheese stick
7pm: pack some crackers and hummus to snack on while we drive to the concert where I will not be drinking any extra calories
