I bought this peppermint tea where I work last night (I work in a grocery store) and I figured it'd taste good since I love peppermint and I love tea. I made myself a cup of it this morning and it tastes nothing like peppermint and I've seeped it for about 3-5 minutes or so. Smells fantastic but for some reason, it tastes plain. I'm kind of disappointed but at least I know that peppermint helps surpress appetites (I read it online on livestrong.com I believe?)
I found some hiking places around me and I'm hoping my boyfriend would want to go. Most of them are near him but I found one closer to me. I hope he will embrace the idea like I have.
I've been having really interesting dreams but I think that's due to it seeming to run through my family (my grandmother, my uncle, my mom and me) and that I've been changing my habits. I've had dreams from dying to hearing someone is pregnant and losing my memory.
Today I'm off of work so I want to take advantage of that. I might go on a really long walk or see what classes they are having at the gym today. I definately should take a walk since I love walking and it makes me feel better.
I'm determined to win the DietBet. I want to change a new habit every week. This week I wanted to walk before I ate breakfast but my phone was next to dead and I use MapMyWalk to track my walking. I'm planning on getting ready soon to walk. Maybe I'll do a two-mile then a one-mile later. Or maybe I'll break in up into 3 small, one-mile walks since I have time on my hands to break it up and it will be nice to get out more.
My mother and I got invited to my godmother's house this weekend and I really wanna say "I went down more weight". When they last saw me, I lost 10 lbs. I'm about 20 lbs down and I want to lose more. I'm excited but my goodness will they have really fattening foods! That's the one thing that will scare me about going to their home. I love them but I don't wanna gorge on food. Can anyone give me helpful tips?
It's turning into fall which is my favorite season. I know the cooler weather and the leaves turning beautiful colors will inspire me to get out more. I also know that since it won't be so hot, it'll motivate me to walk to/from work more (about a mile away each way). I'm excited to break out my teas, my sweaters and my boots. I'm excited to go pumpkin picking and have pumpkin everything (uh oh!).
What are you most excited for about fall?
What I'm Grateful for:
1. I'm grateful for my mother. She may not be in the best health right now but she's always been there and I love her so much.
2. I'm grateful for the seasons changing since each season holds it's own beauty.
3. I'm grateful that I have the chance to try new things and that I'm able to keep an open mind.
As always, stay strong, stay awesome and good luck friends! :)
