Went for a jog this morning around the lake. Couple of hiccups along the way but I THINK I completed a 5K distance around the lake (it's slightly longer thank 5K). Here's a log of my jog:
It was about 5:45am when I started and around the 0.5 mile mark, my mom calls. I'm huffing and puffing and I'm like "why the heck are you calling me before 6am?" Thought about stopping so I can speak clearly and hear her clearly but just kept going.
Around the 0.8 mile mark, my Running Buddy pouch fell off. It's a pouch that stays on your shorts/pants via magnets. I guess I didn't have it on correctly since it fell off but I picked it up and considered walking at that point but did not.
Around the 2.1 mile mark, I considered stopping because I already surpassed my previous jog's initial distance. Decided to keep going.
Around the 2.2 mile mark, my mom calls again. Sigh.... Kept jogging until I tried to hang up and my phone is stuck and Zombies 5K is stuck. Finally stopped and walked until I rebooted phone and continued Zombies 5K.
Zombies 5K is not good about keeping stats after a crash so at this point I have no idea what I did as far as distance. I only walked until I could reboot and restart the mission so I assume I only walked 0.1-0.2 miles as it was only about 2 minutes. Probably enough time to get my second wind but my first wind was just fine! ARRGGHHH!!!
Jogged the remaining distance without any further hiccups and completed the loop before the Zombies 5K mission ended.
The mission had a total time of 46 minutes and it still had 10 minutes to go or so which means I completed the loop in around 36 minutes (4 minutes faster than previous jog). If I didn't walk the 2 minutes, I can only assume I got under 35 minutes. Then again, maybe I could not have completed it without taking the 2 minute or so walk while phone was rebooting.
The cool thing was that I did it on 5 hours of sleep and finally having a cheat dinner last night of chicken pot pie. I just couldn't resist after eating a taster bite. Maybe that meal gave me the energy from all the extra carbs I ate because although I felt heavy this morning, I was not lethargic at all.
Anyway, I'll take it! Hopefully I'll be able to complete the loop within the next week!
