Hi Guys,

Oh man, here's the good today:

Hit my goal weight!

Allergies still way better! (Excepting what's written below).

Here's the bad today:

Tried the protein powder I'd special ordered (the rebootwithjoe website recommends protein powder for active or long cleansing people)... and had an allergic reaction to it. Skin all over my face and in my mouth was numb.

More bad: Ate protein (and dessert). Went 280 calories over what I need for weight maintenance. Rationalized it: Said that I needed protein, then said that if I gave myself a YOLO meal I'd be able to go back to things more easily tomorrow.

This was dumb. One should slowly transition out of a juice cleanse. Otherwise, there can be a host of gastrointestinal discomfort... and who knows what else. Will my allergies get worse again? It's not seeming like it yet, but...I was so sick just a few days ago. NOT SMART. And this juicing has helped me so much. And now I'm messing with it. Also, given that I can't have the protein powder I ordered, I now have to experiment with things.

So here's the experiment:

Step 1: Continue juicing

Step 2: Accept that I can't have the protein powder I ordered, wait for the one I ordered today that I hopefully won't be allergic to (there's no protein powder in town - I'm studying abroad), and eat chicken until then. Chicken has never been a problem for my allergies. So yay. (I'd skip out on the protein altogether, but at a certain point during my last cleanse protein was the only thing that fixed bruising/fatigue symptoms I had, and right now those symptoms are here again).

Here's hoping.

Also, things I'm thankful for: That I could be honest here that I messed up here. That writing this will help me be accountable. That tomorrow there's hope that chicken and juice will keep me on track to keep my allergies be gone and me be healthy.

Hope things are going better with all of you! I've written this in the calm tone I'm in now, but earlier, man, I was upset about what I did. Guys. Dieting is hard. Self-care is hard. But just gotta keep working towards it...
