Yesterday our oven decided it was time for retirement. Considering the fact that I earn most of my money with my CAKE blog I was indeed a teeny weeny bit stressed out by it...
Because we were trying to fix the problem, I didn't get to finish my blog post for today in time, nor did I manage to prepare my food for today. At the end of the day, I was kind of a crappy mood and, of course, I slept really badly too.
Day 2
Nevertheless, I got up early today and started my day - just like yesterday - with Joanna's addictive pre-workout banana coffee shake and a 30-minute workout. Proud of myself :).
Then I went to work as the new girl in the vegan cafe, and even packed a lunch box (instead of eating there or grabbing something on the way). Again - proud of myself ;). However, I had to stay longer than expected, so by the time I got off work I was starving. Too bad I only got off work because I really had to get to my doctor's appointment. So after another two hours I was ready to just eat about anything and to kill it myself too (I'm vegan btw). I don't know how on earth I actually resisted all the temptaions on my way home, but I did.
At home I was sooo glad I still had some left-over pumpkin soup that's only 200 cals per serving. I tucked in while still heating it in the pot and my husband looked at me as if I were some stray kitten he just rescued. Now, 2 1/2 servings later, I feel bloated, tired and a bit sick. I've logged all my cals today and I'm surprised I'm actually still within my daily calorie budget even after over-eating.
Well, what did I learn today? I learned that it's all about preparing for the unexpected. I'll definitely pack some extra snacks tomorrow (the banana muffins I made just before my oven died on me) - just in case. I will prepare my food for tomorrow TODAY, so come what may - I will stick to my meal plan and eat clean no matter what!
