Hi everyone,
I am looking for holiday advice.
I recently moved to a new town and somehow wound up being invited to 6 Thanksgivings this year. Because of time conflicts, I can only make it four, but still, that's a lot of temptations. It's usually bad enough making it through one Thanksgiving without over-indulging, but I have no idea how I am going to make it thorugh 4.
Today I made a couple of dishes, I used fat-free/light everything that I could. But I obviously won't be able to control a lot of what other people make. So, others who've been successful through the holidays before, what words of wisdom do you have? Should I eat, healthily before the meal, and just not partake at Thanksgiving? Obviously I could eat small portions of stuff, but I think that's more ideal than practical.
I have lost 2.6 pounds since I started this on Friday. (I haven't submitted a second official weigh-in yet - but it was the same scale.) I am so proud of myself, but I am so afraid of what today (my first Thanksgiving) and the rest of the week will bring.
Also, I will not be able to exercise as easily later this week when I stay at my parents' house for a couple of nights. So I am feeling a little defeated as to how to get through these next few days.
Any advice appreciated! Thanks!
