I knocked week one out of the park!
I followed my daily commitments and I was rewarded with a loss of just over 4 pounds. The first week is also awesome when rebooting so I'm not going to let the weight loss get me thinking it will be a constant thing. With that, I only have about a pound left to lose in this round.
Friday night was my "reward" night. I allow a meal / treat without guilt to be savoured in an environment I will enjoy it the most once a week. I had boneless wings, 2 glasses of wine and a Mcflurry when watching the Raptors game.
I woke up with no guilt. And immediately was back to healthy eating. This week my "cheat night" will be my works Xmas party. It will be extra difficult however this week as I'm flying across the country for meetings two days this week. Healthy choices when living in an airport are difficult. I have looked up packing protein powder and fruits. So I will be doing that. Canned tuna, etc. I just hope the meal provided at the meeting has Veggies.
It will also test my fitness. The good thing is that it is in mountain time and I am eastern standard, so I will be awake prior to the meeting starting by at least 4 hours. Hopefully the hotel (which is attached to the airport) has a decent gym and I can get a run in a least 1 day I'm there.
My fiancé and I also bought a new workout outfit so we're both pumped to wear them. I would like more so I don't feel like I'm constantly having to run Landry to keep them clean. 5 workout outfits would be best. Someone recently posted a link on this website that they are buying a short from LookHuman when they reach their goals. Holy damn the shirts on that site are awesome! I'm buying a couple now "If squats were easy they'd be called your mom" and "Obama can't ban these guns (and it points to my biceps)" I just need a few more pairs of pants and sports bras then! A pair of flatter shoes for lifting weights would be good too. My running shoes are great for running but not for lifting heavy things.
There are a few things that I am seeing on dietbet that I always feel sad reading:
People feeling they need to only eat 1200 calories daily to lose weight
People thinking you can't lift heavy weight as a woman as you'll bulk up
But I know it's stuff that people have to experience themselves and take the lesson away. I probably wouldn't have listened to someone saying that stuff is not true during the first bit of my journey.
