i have taken up powerlifting. I dabbled before but now I am a steady 3 days a week sorta girl.
Power lifting has has so many physical and psychological benefits. However, it never amounts to weight loss (you are building muscle).
it makes this dietbet so much harder. I have lost inches and gained so much respect for myself (and the strength that I have) but some weeks the scale wouldn't budge.
My cardio routine is roughly 2, 1 hr seasons a week and I will do a stretch class as well for my "off day".
My food is tracked and 90% of the time it's perfect. I do eat chocolate in that 10%
My strength has increased 20% in 30 days on most holds and grabs. And my self confidence has skyrocketed. But my weight? Argh, she hardly budges.
this is the only flaw with dietbet, when weight training - your body loses inches like it's going out of style but not weight .
