I'm going back to work next week after 6 months of maternity leave, but am quite disappointed that I haven't worked harder on my fitness while I had so much free time, I've hibernated quite a bit over the winter months. Now that we're coming into summer I'm hoping that I can kick it up a notch (or 10) and be more focused - we have a family holiday in May in Hawaii and I would like to feel a lot more confident than I do at the moment.
Goals: -10kgs, sort out my surfing, train & run a 5km without stopping (I've done a half marathon in the past but it was a bit half-arsed), fit my jeans!

Sign in to CommentMy dear, I would hardly call maternity leave "free time"! :)
Sometimes I find that I'm more successful with working out, eating right, etc, when my schedule is full and everything seems more hectic. I don't know... maybe it's the thought that I only have so much time to dedicate to those activities keeps me on my toes to get them in. The busier I am, the more I usually accomplish.
Congrats (late!) on the new little one, and good luck getting back to work and with your life goals. I know you'll be successful! :)
