So I thought I should finally say why I'm here.
You'll probably guess correctly that it's to lose weight. However I can't really do that by cutting calories.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and the scaring on my brain has left me, amongst other things, with anxiety, depression and altered judgement which sadly led to disordered eating.
Now I'd say I'm 80% over it, however to get over it I had to learn to just eat rather than eat and purge. Soooo I put on two and a half stone; not a problem, although it does make me look a lot like my grandmother used to, and I'd rather not look fifty years older than I actually am.
Weight loss here I come!
But... if I cut calories or try to restrict food in any way, it normally triggers the eating disorder.
The first diet bet I was on, took me a few days to get going, I didn't win, but I'm not bothered about winning money, I'm looking for competitive people to taunt me on. ;)
It worked, I lost 1.8lbs, not huge, but every step in the right direction is a win!
So now I'm doing the 6 month plan, I'm already three days and several tubs of ice-cream in. After a bad start I think I've finally got a grip on the wanting to eat healthily, though I'll probably be fighting every step of the way. Now the tricky bit starts! :D
