I know that I need 8 hours of sleep to function well and get up on time the next day. The Christmas and New Year's holidays have thrown me off kilter: I've been going to bed far too late and then getting up late too. It is sad that on a Friday, I'm already looking forward to Monday morning!
I slept in on New Year's Day and then last night, I tried to go to bed on time, but couldn't get to sleep. I tossed and turned until finally drifting off around 1:00. Needless to say, I didn't bounce out of bed with the chirping of my alarm at 6:00.
I will do better, as I know that poor sleeping habits are a factor in weight gain.
