Hello dietbetters,
my name is Tommy and I´m from germany. I started my weightloss journey about 3 weeks ago. But the real turning point for me, was about 5 weeks ago.
We went to a filmfestival award show and I had to put on a suit and shirt. When I picked up my white shirt, that I hadn´t worn in months, I could not button it up. I was too fat.
So I rushed to the store and bought 2 new shirts. XXL size, because the XL in the store did not fit me either. I was devistated. Now look at this picture:
That was me on that evening. Still smiling, but not in the inside. And I still had a coca cola! WHY. Anyways, 2 weeks later, I decided I cant go on like this anymore. So I started by giving up the cola and pepsi and any other pop for that matter.
I started walking again, only drinking water and watching my foods. Its been going good for 3 weeks, but yesterday I hit a low point, when I calculated my BMI and I am in the "obese" category. I was floored and I still am.
If I didnt have my scale which showed me, that the 3 weeks have been working I think I would have given up already, because I just cant see any difference on my body right now, but I hope that will change soo.
If I give up now, I will go back to that. Back to shirts not fitting, back to the fizzy drinks and back to not liking the pictures of me.
I think I will join a gym really soon and I hope you all are doing great.
Lets get slim together. I know, I want to. More than I want cola and more than I want a cheeseburger.
