This is my first blog post.  I started dietbet last week, and so far, its been motivating.  At the same time I started here, I also reactivated my old account on MyFitnessPal, which I use to track calories in & out (food/exercise).  I think the combination is quite powerful.

I've starting using my treadmill again to try to have a net calorie below my target.  Today I'll be going downhill skiing with my daughter.  That always gets a good sweat going but while having a lot of fun.  It feels good.  I've lost a few pounds quickly, but I know that always happens at the beginning...but its still motivating to see the scale going in the right direction and feel in control of it. 

Next week I have some business travel...I'm apprehensive about it.  It means airports, hotels, meals out with the team, and stress.  All not good things when it comes to food and exercise.  I'm going to bring my running shoes, and will make a point to hit the gym.  I need to continue the momentum here. 

Anyways, its great to be surrounded by all you people doing a simliar journey as I, and facing the same struggles.  We can do this!
