Wow. Since I've started this dietbet on January 4th, I haven't done a lick of exercise. I'm proud to be 10lbs lighter, but Lawd knows if I'm going to make this 70lb make over this year (now it's 60lbs), I need to hit the pavement and WORKOUT honey! Yesterday I woke up early (after 2 days of virus attack) and did a belly dancing fitness video from Comcast. It was only 24 minutes and although I didn't work up a sweat, I felt parts of my body that I didn't realize existed and stretced my hips really well. After 11 hours at work (sitting almost the whole time), my guy surprised me by taking a nice 45 minute walk with me outside. It was cold, we held hands, we talked. Ma watched the kids for us, and I didn't even realize we were working out. It was really nice. We felt close and I felt like I finally got the headstart I needed to start being more active.
This morning I woke up to some nookie at 4am. 5am we finished and I went to my apartment gym to work out, but the door was locked. Instead of deciding to have foiled my plans, I just walked around my neighborhood. It was super cold, but I did it. 1 hour walk. I'm hoping to start some Zumba classes in February. I just have to figure out the kid situation. Tonight I'm going to grab the soccor ball we got my son for Christmas and take him to play soccor. I know he will enjoy that and I know it will get my heart racing. Although this isn't a drastic change, I hope this assists with my weight loss. I know one thing is certain, it has certainly put me in a good mood today. :)
